Bio

Sydney Yang is a Research Assistant at The Collective Lab and a Psychology student at San Diego State University. Her research interests include youth mental health, suicide prevention, and evidence-based crisis interventions.

Her interest in research began with her two years of volunteer work at Teen Line, a global teen mental health hotline, where she supports adolescents in crisis and witnessed the power of reaching out for help. At The Collective Lab, she is excited to contribute to research on youth crisis lines and explore ways to strengthen help-seeking in real-world settings.

In the future, Sydney plans to pursue graduate study in clinical Psychology, with the goal of becoming a therapist and advancing research that improves access to effective mental health care for underserved communities.
