Bio
Sarah Mann (she/her) is a first year Master’s student at SDSU in the Mental & Physical Health track. She received her B.A. in Psychology and English from Pitzer College. Her research and clinical interests were shaped by her time working as a Practice Manager in a youth DBT clinic and as a Lab Manager at the Global Mental Health Lab at Pitzer.
She is passionate about leveraging technology-based interventions and peer counseling resources to make treatment more accessible and improve mental health outcomes among at-risk youth. Sarah also has an interest in the role that social support can play as a protective factor against depression, anxiety, and suicidality.
She hopes to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology so she can continue her research and work with children in a clinical context. Outside of the lab Sarah can be found at the beach or hiking in the mountains, watching movies, cooking, writing, or finding fun new ways to stay active!
