Bio

Ayla Sutton is a Master’s student in the Psychology program at San Diego State University. Ayla is passionate about community based participatory research that serves the Native American/Indigenous community. Her specific research interests include the disparities in mental and physical health treatment for minority populations, the Native American experience in higher education, and how cultural continuity/connectedness can support Native students. Ayla hopes to pursue her Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology in the future and continue to work to give back to her community.
