Bio
Aidan Pastorelli (he/him) is a Research Assistant in The Collective Lab and a first-year statistics student in the Weber Honors College at San Diego State University. He is eager to participate in hands-on psychological research, particularly in the areas of youth suicide and homicide prevention, while developing his statistical expertise through the data-driven components of his current projects.
Aidan’s interest in suicide and homicide prevention began during his internship as a counselor in an elementary summer school program. Later, his experience with organizations such as ARCLA- focused on rehabilitation and reintegration of juvenile offenders- further deepened his commitment to the field. These experiences have inspired Aidan to pursue a Ph.D. in Data Science, alongside a potential bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology. His current ambitions include exploring innovative approaches to enhancing and adapting evidence-based interventions, particularly in underserved communities, and developing more efficient methods for data collection to improve the effectiveness and accessibility of mental health interventions.
